2026 Grammy Nominations: Abracadabra, Bad Bunny & Big Surprises – Who Got Snubbed?

Guess who’s back in the Grammy game? From surprise collabs to snubbed icons and a certain pop star who may or may not have rhymed ‘abracadabra’ with ‘Cadillac drama,’ the 2026 Grammy nominations are full of twists you didn’t see coming.

It’s that time again — when the music industry dresses up, freaks out, and debates everything from who deserves Album of the Year to why someone’s song about mushrooms and heartbreak is somehow up for Song of the Year. The 2026 Grammy nominations are officially out, and let’s just say… if you thought last year was unpredictable, this year turned the dial straight to “what in the chromakopia is going on?”

Abracadabra, It’s Gaga’s World

First up: Lady Gaga. The Mother Monster came flying in on a disco broomstick with her latest experimental-pop-fantasy album Mayhem and poof — she's nominated for Album of the Year and Record of the Year with “Abracadabra.” Critics are calling it her most theatrical work since Artpop, and let’s be honest, no one else could rhyme “sorceress” with “existential mess” and make it a club banger.

Bad Bunny’s Latin Magic

Bad Bunny made history again (yawn — he does this yearly now) with Debí Tirar Más Fotos landing in Album of the Year, and “DtMF” (yes, you’re pronouncing that acronym right) scoring Record and Song of the Year noms. Yes, he's breaking language barriers, streaming records, and possibly the fourth wall.

We get it, Benito. You’re inevitable.

Kendrick, Tyler, and the Return of High Concept Hip-Hop

Kendrick Lamar’s latest masterpiece GNX isn’t just a rap album — it’s a cinematic dissertation on grief, generational trauma, and purple velvet jackets. Teaming up with SZA for “luther,” they’ve created a track that’s nominated across the board and also made half of TikTok cry in lowercase letters.

Meanwhile, Tyler, the Creator’s Chromakopia is… well, it’s Tyler being Tyler, which means it’s nominated and everyone’s confused in a good way.

Sabrina Carpenter – From Pop Flirt to Grammy Contender

The Sabrina Carpenter Renaissance is in full swing. Her album Man’s Best Friend is nominated for Album of the Year, while “Manchild” is up for Song of the Year. Once dubbed “the other blonde in Olivia Rodrigo’s origin story,” she’s now the one with more Grammy nods this year. You love to see it.

APT., Rosé, and Bruno Mars: The Collab We Didn't Know We Needed

Who knew Rosé (from BLACKPINK) and Bruno Mars would give us a duet that sounds like Frank Sinatra and a K-pop star got stuck in an elevator with a lo-fi beat machine? “APT.” is nominated for Record AND Song of the Year, and your aunt probably loves it too.

Best New Artist: A Category You’ll Pretend You Knew About

Here’s where things get spicy. The Best New Artist category includes:

  • Addison Rae (yes, that Addison Rae)

  • Leon Thomas (the Nickelodeon kid turned neo-soul prince)

  • Sombr (your favorite artist’s favorite underground ambient R&B futurist?)

  • Olivia Dean, Katseye, Alex Warren, The Marías, and Lola Young

It’s a mix of TikTokers, nepo babies, and legitimately brilliant humans, and we can’t wait to see which one causes Twitter to implode when they win.

So What’s New This Year?

Two new categories have entered the chat:

  • Best Traditional Country Album (cue a dozen “Old Town Road” thinkpieces)

  • Best Album Cover (finally, justice for graphic designers)

Also, the Grammy ceremony is set for February 1, 2026, live from the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. Which means yes — even the venue name will age poorly by next year.

The 2026 Grammy Awards are should be one of the most unpredictable, meme-worthy, and genuinely exciting ceremonies in years. Between high-art hip-hop, sorceress pop, and the rise of TikTok musicians actually making great music, one thing’s clear: the line between underground and mainstream is blurrier than ever — and we love it.

Fire up your playlists, prepare your “___ was robbed” tweets, and may your faves have the streaming numbers to back it all up. Stay tuned for updates and more in-depth coverage of your favorite celebrities and entertainment news! Create a free membership account with us today!
